"LIVING IN HOLLAND"
We are excited to announce the 2022 Kleefstra Syndrome Family Conference. The theme of the conference is “Living in Holland” – a twist on the poem Welcome to Holland by Emily Perl Kingsley.
The conference will be held from June 23rd-25th at the DoubleTree Hotel in Naperville, Illinois (about 20 miles SW of Chicago O’Hare airport). This conference will focus on practical education and tips for families raising children and adults with KS. The topics to be covered in the different breakout sessions are described below.
We are happy to announce Dr. Siddharth Srivastava and Zoë Frazier from the Kleefstra Clinic at Boston Children's Hospital will be joining us at the conference. We are also thrilled to announce that Dr. Karlijn Vermeulen will be joining us virtually to present a keynote address around the topic of regression.
We are incredibly excited to bring our Kleefstra Syndrome Community together to learn, connect, and bond with one another. We are stronger together, and we look forward to connecting to strengthen our ties with one another while unlocking the potential for our loved ones with Kleefstra Syndrome.

Childcare + Sibshops
The state of Illinois requires all children under the age of 14 be supervised by an adult over the age of 18 at all times while on hotel property. We request all children ages six months and older be registered for our childcare + Sibshops program unless you are providing your own childcare. Sibshop will be Friday morning until lunch for siblings 6 and older. In the afternoon, siblings will join childcare. Children will not be allowed in the conference rooms during presentations. Children with an illness/fever will not be allowed to attend.
Hotel: DoubleTree by Hilton Lisle/Naperville Rooms will be booked by the attendee under the Kleefstra Syndrome Family Conference room block at $99/night. The room rates are subject to current lodging tax. Room types are based on availability or request only and are not guaranteed. Reservations for this event are due by the cut-off date of May 1, 2022, after this date reservations will be accepted on a space available basis at standard hotel rates. The hotel check-in time is 3:00pm, check-out time is 12pm: All reservations must be guaranteed to a pre-approved credit card. Reservations subject to 48-hour cancellation policy and early departure fee.
